I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
